CNN has just released 100 Best Companies to Work For and now I would like to share with you only the 10 mission statements of the top ten companies.

NetApp Mission Statement
The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. It is open to any interested individual. The IETF Mission Statement is documented in RFC 3935.

Edward Jones Mission Statement
Edward Jones has Core Principles rather than a mission statement. I don't mean to single out Edward Jones but I find it humorous that they make themselves out to be a "cut above the rest" and yet they sold mutual funds to their clients without telling them that they had special relationships with these mutual fund families that paid Edward Jones and their brokers bigger commissions.

I have posted one problems for a company to deal with not knowing and understanding its customers already.Within this branding problem, we are about to make a complaint much further into the previous problem (in our previous post). You should know that today's customers aren't just buying what you sell; they're buying who you are.

Many Small Businesses have a poor company image or worse, don’t have one at all. Do you as a consumer buy goods from people that don’t appear professional? No - so don’t expect your prospects to buy from you unless you provide them with the confidence to do so.

In any business, big or small, people buy from people - they buy your personality, so your brand also has to be a reflection of who you are.

Once we are talking about marketing, you will think about spending money. And it doesn't mean that the more money you have the more customers you will get by marketing. We have heard about customers questionnaire, product quality questionnaire... but how about your employees questionnaire. You may by too busy with getting more customers and make money while left your employees behind unconsciously. I know that you don't want to do this. As a manager, you should know that employees is life of your company. They are hand, eye, mouth, brain... of your company.

I would suggest you to create a short employee satisfaction survey to make sure that most of activities you have done did not hurt them. If you have time, you can ask them face-to-face but you may not get the honest answer so why not develop a questionnaire with two questions!

Capacity building can be done in programs, actions, and steps designed to develop and improve the knowledge, skill and expertise of individual in order to increase the capacity of the Ministry to carry out its functions effectively and efficiently.

Usually capacity can be Education and Training. Education gives intellectual, moral and social instruction. It is about thinking. Training teaches skill or behavior through practice and instruction (On Job Training). It is about doing.

Personnel Department (PD) is in charged of determination any training. It is responsible and should be seen to act on delegated authority from line management. The entire process must be well managed by PD. It also has to evaluate the source of company to train individual employees and those sources can be internal and external.
